British rider Cal Crutchlow, joins a unique British Technology – Magnom® as part of the Ducati Moto GP team this year.
Magnom® has been supplying Ducati Corse Moto GP with their unique patented filtration, since superstar Valentino Rossi tried to tame the Ducati beast over three years ago.

The Magnom® Technology is fitted in the hugely powerful Ducati Desmo engine, and super cleans the oil of aggressive debris, before it reaches any critical components, helping keep the power unit running sweet.

The Magnom® unit is playing an increasingly important role as the team is forced to limit the number of engines that can be used throughout the GP season.
This simple but incredibly effective technology was developed in the racing environment, but ironically is now used in everything from JCB’s vehicles, CAT off-road machines to
cement plants.

Breakdowns result from the damage caused by Fe contamination circulating in transmission, fuel, engine and hydraulic systems. Magnom® products have been designed to efficiently and effectively remove these damaging particles, left in critical systems by conventional filters, some of which are not even visible to the naked eye, the technology ensures that the contamination once removed from circulation, remains trapped in its core whilst at the same time not impeding/blocking the fluid flow.

Magnom® Pre-Filter Units (PFU)

One of the products that has been developed in conjunction with Whayne CAT is the range Magnom® PFU’s. These units, (which utilise the same cost saving technology as all the Magnom® products), have been developed to work in conjunction with traditional Spin on Filters. The PFU’s are fitted between the filter head and the spin-on cartridge and combine the familiar filtration of the cartridge with the cost benefits of Magnom® Technology, by removing any damaging ferrous contamination using the Magnom® patented technology.   There is a range of 3 sizes and these have been designed to be easily fitted to the vehicle or system without the need to change any of the existing system. You just need to check to ensure that the space envelope is large enough to accommodate both the PFU and the spin-on. The Magnom® PFU’s are exclusively available from Whayne at www.magnomfilters.com
