FAQ’s & Answers

  • What is the filtration rating?

Magnom is capable of removing contaminant down to 0.7 micron,

  • Why do I need Magnom

Conventional Filtration only filters down to a nominal/absolute particle size,

This means that highly damaging ‘Super Sharp, Supper Hard, and Sub 10 Micron Ferrous war materials can pass straight through them, causing untold damage and system failures.

  • How do I select the correct size for my system?

Magnom products are typically sized by the connection size and spec, and not flow,

The only other consideration is contaminant capacity.

  • How long do Magnom Filters last?

Magnom utilises magnet technology that is demonstrated to last indefinitely

  • Are Magnom products re-usable?

Yes… they are re-usable, or are potentially fit for life (PumpMate range), our CP-12 and CP-16 are service replacement items,

  • How Do You Clean Your Magnom?

Please see the cleaning notes in the link here and the cleaning video for larger process product cleaning. (Documents & Video attached with email),

and also the customer video links below.

  • Do Magnom filters remove Fe & iron oxide?

Yes, even highly oxidised Brown Rust, is partially magnetic, the darker the iron oxide, the more magnetic it is (magnetite).

  • How often do Magnom filters need to be cleaned?

This will depend on the level of contamination in your system,

Typically, Magnom is so effective, you will see an immediate high build up, then as the Magnom cleans up the system wholly, it will maintain the system removing aggressive contaminant from the fluids, as it is generated/produced, reducing the service intervals accordingly,

  • Do Magnom filters come with a warranty?

Yes, typically 12 months

  • Are bespoke units available?

Yes… if demand / volume dictates, custom designs can be developed.

  • When will I start seeing an impact in my applications?

This should be immediate!

  • What is the typical pay-back time?

In highly contaminated and critical systems, pay back is typically very fast, and can be in a matter of just weeks or months.
